We found battleships and gators as we made our way back home. Mobile is a pretty city, but it was the drive around Mobile Bay that really impressed me. Tiny towns, all with quaint town squares and historic main streets took us back to Dothan. Not to mention the beaches.... Really, I think I can say Alabama is quite a lovely state. It was a quick farewell tour, but I'm so glad we took the time to experience some things we might never have an opportunity to see again.
Farewell, Alabama. You can keep your snakes and gators, but we'll keep the memories of good friends and good food with us!
