Fifteen Minutes of Fame

A few summers ago Dean grew a really scraggly beard and decided to become an actor, a PAID actor, as he likes to remind us.  Our Church, (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) was filming some bible videos on a massive set and Dean just wanted to be a part of it.  He spent the better part of a day trying out just to be an extra. (there was a lot of standing in line and then they had to assess his beard and "ethnic" look.)  When he got the call he was ecstatic.  His beard is long gone, but the memories and feelings of being on that set with Christ and his apostles (even though they were also actors) will stay with him forever.

We waited patiently for the release.  He was in three videos, one is out and Dean swears you can see the back of his red turban if you look close and squint.  The second one came out yesterday.  Just in time for Dean's birthday.  (He literally checks the site everyday)  You can check out Dean's acting debut here.  Drum roll please...

Here is the scriptural reference for this particular video:
Luke 7:11-16 The Widow of Nain
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

In case  you missed him here is the still shot.  He's right behind Jesus, third one back in the red turban.

A star is born! Thanks for sticking with us now that you're famous, and Happy Birthday!!!
